WakefestTN 2025, held at Pates Ford Marina, on Center Hill Lake in Smithville, Tennessee, once again proved itself a killer event. Over 30 riders showed up and threw down Notably, Tyler Higham won the  Shootout, Frederico Dal Lago (Nano) took first in Pro Men, Zarah Kell won Pro Women, Brayden George won Outlaw.

For 2025, KICKER Marine Audio has been named the official sponsor of the Women’s Pro Division at this year’s WakeFest, slated for July 18-19 at Pates Ford Marina in Smithville, TN. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer, WakeFest is Tennessee’s premier wakeboarding event which draws thousands of spectators, amateur riders and professional athletes for a weekend of spirited competition on the scenic waters of Center Hill Lake.

Nic Rapa took top honors at the Pro Wakeboard Tour Stop 2 in Acworth, Georgia, winning the Pro Wakeboard division. Winning the Pro Wakesurf division was Dylan Matthews and winning Junior Pro Wakeboard was Jett Gibson. 

The all-day event, presented by Supra Boats, was held on Lake Allatoona.

Rapa, an Australian, and 2024 WWA Champion, scored 95.33 winning by a 5.33-point margin in front of a big crowd including a large flotilla of fans.

Pass the Handle is an awesome annual program of Watersports Industry Association (WSIA) in which beginners are introduced to the sport by those with experience. Of course, any day is a good day to do that, but this year’s official Pass The Handle Day is July 20, 2025.

If you would like to organize a Pass The Handle event, and help bring new people into the sport, while sharing and passing along some of your skill and experience, WSIA makes it easy for you. Complete instructions and materials for organizing your own Pass The Handle event can be found right on the Pass The Handle website.

Cory Teunissen (@coryteunissen) took the top podium at Stop 1 of the 2025 Pro Wakeboard Tour and defended his 2024 PWT title. Teunissen edged-out Guenther Oka by two points, earning a score of 94.67. Nic Rapa took third place.

Jett Lambert (@jettshreds) also defended his title, taking the win in Junior Pro Wakeboard.

The event was held on May 17, 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas at Marine Creek Lake Park.
