The smoke has cleared, the winners have been announced and the videos have all been watched… but it’s not over yet. We have such an insane amount of awesome images from Bryan Soderlind that we had to share them all with you. So here they are, a ton of shots (both action shots and lifestyle ones) of the good old time that we all had at the Shredtown Jamboree. A big thanks to Andrew Adams, Chris Abadie and Davis Griffin for their hospitality, all the riders that killed it and had a good time all weekend long, the sponsors who made it happen and of course the Golden Bear (Bryan Soderlind) for documenting it all like noone else would. Cheers!

Woah! I didn’t see this one coming. Axis just added the T23 to its lineup for 2015. This thing looks like a lot of fun and sounds like it’s just the right size too. I’m just as eager to snag a set on one of these as you are. Check this thing out!

AXIS LAUNCHES A NEW LEGEND WITH THE BEASTLY T23

At 23 feet 5 inches, the T23 brings a longer traditional-bow towboat to the ever growing Axis family.

Loudon, TN | November 6, 2014 — Axis Wake Research proudly unveiled its all-new T23 in San Diego this week, at the annual national dealer meeting. As the latest addition to the Axis lineup, now featuring five wake/surf models, the T23 is the company’s answer to massive customer demand after the success of the first traditional-bow Axis, the T22, which debuted last year. Coming in at a foot and a half longer than the T22, and with room for as many as 16 people, the newest Axis is built for those who want maximum versatility and unrivaled performance in a bigger traditional-bow boat.

CEO Jack Springer matched the excitement of the crowd gathered for the unveiling. “We knew we had a winner from the start with Axis Wake Research, but we’ve been amazed at how quickly and powerfully the brand has grown, with Axis now the number-four player in the market,” said Springer. “Five boats in five years, plus Surf Gate, is huge. And so is the T23. This is one big, bad, beautiful boat, and we are so pleased to launch it here with you tonight. It looks amazing, but just wait until you get it out on the water. We are incredibly proud of this beastly machine.”

As always with Axis, owners get the absolute best boat for the money in the industry—without question. The T23 is a pure performer, with a painstakingly engineered wake-and-wave-maximizing hull and a hard-tank ballast system. And with upgrades like the Auto-Set Wedge and the revolutionary Surf Gate, riders of all levels can ride and surf world-class, effortlessly customized wakes and waves. The T23’s helm features a top-of-the-line swivel seat, precision Livorsi throttle, and easy, agile steering, while its expansive lounge area sports plush, high-end vinyl upholstery—now standard across the Axis line—in the most spacious cockpit available in an entry-level 23-footer.

Whaaaat!?! This thing is so sick. Having seen it in person and ridden behind it, I’ll say that it’s everything that it is cracked up to be. Read all about the new changes, drool over the photos, and get ready to sit in one at Surf Expo or your local boat show. Enjoy!

AXIS INTRODUCES THE ALL-NEW A22

Completely redesigned towboat will be revealed 9/4 at Surf Expo.

Loudon, TN | August 27, 2014 — A completely new boat from the hull up, the 2015 Axis Wake Research A22 is a total redesign of the original A22, the very first Axis model to hit the water. For 2015, the revolutionary towboat that forever changed the industry by getting more people on the water in true performance boats—at a sweeter price—has been reimagined bow to stern.

Monster wakes and waves come standard with the all-new A22. With a new wake-and-wave-maximizing hull, this aggressive 22-footer is built to create the perfect playground for wakeboarders and wakesurfers of all skill levels. And with Surf Gate, you can ride a customized wave and easily transfer from side to side.

Axis and Malibu CEO Jack Springer is excited to be debuting the all-new A22 at Orlando’s Surf Expo on September 4th. “With the ongoing evolution of Axis, we felt it was time to take the A22 to the next level,” says Springer. “We’ve had so much fun with this boat. The insiders who’ve gotten to see it and drive it just can’t stop talking about it.”

Top pros go after this boat for its perfect, solid wake, but its clean lines and aggressive styling don’t hurt, either. The A22 boasts a striking exterior, with sharp new hull graphics and three new metal-flake gel color options, but it’s also plush and roomy on the inside, with a 102-inch beam and comfortable, upgraded vinyl seating for as many as 15 people. For 2015, the A22 features the new AW15 Tower, a new interior, deeper storage, walk-through bow, and Livorsi shifter. Upgrade options include Zero Off GPS Cruise and high-fidelity WetSounds speakers and amps.

Axis has seen explosive growth in the watersports industry since its 2009 founding, reaching sixth in market share within three years—and showing no signs of slowing down, sitting in the number-four position as of June 2014. Together, Malibu and Axis easily lead, commanding over 35 percent of the North American market.

Contact your local dealer to test-drive the all-new A22. Axis Wake Research is centered on you—and built to make waves.

Press Release:

Loudon, TN | August 22, 2014 — A completely new boat from the hull up, the 2015 Malibu Wakesetter 22 VLX is a total redesign of the previous 21 VLX model. This 22-foot model features a new running surface designed to deliver perfect wakes and waves for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. With the 22 VLX’s new hull, our new Power Wedge II, and our unrivaled Surf Gate, we’ve made this the most versatile 22-foot boat on the market and have increased our surfing advantage with the continuing evolution of our wakesurf system. We want to take this opportunity to thank all the photographers out there that contribute to the magazine, and even those that don’t. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to a sport that we all love. If you take photos, then you know how much hard work is put into getting the shot that you want. If you don’t take photos, hopefully this gallery will inspire you to get out there and starting shooting for yourself. In my humble opinion, I think everyone should take photos, but let’s give a holiday cheers to the professionals that actually know what they’re doing.

In absolutely no particular order whatsoever, here are the TransWorld Wakeboarding Top 10 photos from 2010. This was another hard day in the office going through all of our favorite photos and narrowing them down to these few. Check them all out and enjoy, and happy holidays everyone!
